In 1880, Fulwood was a small collection of houses and outlying farms. Over the next 50 years, it was transformed into a prosperous suburb in the south west of Sheffield.

But people have lived and worked here for many years before 1850.

Our Aims are to

• develop a Community of Interest that provides a forum and focus for delving into Fulwood’s history
• collect and curate information about the village and its history (its people, institutions, buildings and environment), ensuring knowledge is retained and shared through publications
• promote an interest in local and family history by organising activities, talks and exhibitions for members and for local residents and visitors
• To act as a social focus for people who are active participants in recording the heritage of the community.
